I love the English countryside and how it can transport you back into time. One can imagine the many novels that were written in England like Jane Eyre and be transported back to those days by simply looking at the wonderful countryside. If you are over in England wake up early one morning in a village or take a drive in the countryside and see the mist coming up from the grounds. It is as if it is calling you to a time once lived and a time past. I found that for sure in the Lake District.
