Feeding 5000 Trafalgar square.

We all have heard the stories from the Bible of the feeding of the 5000, however it is true that story has a new meaning in the world we live in. I watched a program recently about the food we waste and then I googled that exact topic. I found this site. http://www.feeding5k.org/ Yes it is true in Trafalgar square this November 5000 people were given fed for free. How can this be? In the society that we live in everything has to be cosmetically correct no flaws. However that is is simply not true for the human being or everything that is produced from the earth. A carrot which comes out of the ground with a fork like appearance is discarded a bruised apple or fish, supermarkets cannot sell this as the consumer will not buy a flawed item. All this food is gone to waste. So the people who organized feeding the 5000 took this food and fed 5000 people. In the world we live in perhaps we should think, is better it to give a farmer a job or be so picture perfect that half his crop which is not cosmetically correct to us goes to waste and his job is on the line.
I remember as a child been told think of all those starving people. How little we forget. Please do your part to make a difference.
Wishing you lots of Tasty English Delights
There's always room for one more.
