Queen celebrates 60 years. God Bless our Queen.
Today marked the 60th anniversary of the Queen of England's accession to the throne.
As she visited a school in Norfolk today, many children waved and cheered. It is interesting to hear of those who heard the news of Queen Elizabeth becoming Queen sixty years ago. My mum lived in Dover and worked the local electricity board. An employee came in and told her to go to the town hall to hear the message that was being declared from the balcony. He said that she might never see this happen again in her lifetime. My mum went, and with many people, listened to the announcement that Queen Elizabeth was now our Queen.
Many of us have taken for granted that Queen Elizabeth has served our country. I find it priceless that my mother has this wonderful heritage, and it surely makes me value even more Queen Elizabeth.
God Bless our Gracious Queen.
Wishing you lots of Tasty English Delights
There's always room for one more.
