True Olympic Winner

Although only sixteen years old, Gabby Douglas, an American gymnast, is an amazing athlete. Receiving a gold medal not only for the women's gymnastic team, but also in women's individual all-around gymnastics, she gives praise not to herself but to God. With the women's individual all-around gymnastic gold medal, she has also made history by being the first and only African-American woman to get that far. She said in an interview, "And I give all the glory to God. It's kind of a win-win situation. The glory goes up to Him and the blessings fall down on me." Maybe there is something we can learn from her. If only we praised God for all He has done for us, maybe we would see life in a better light. Instead of looking at the bad, we could praising Him for all the good things and see that life is not as bad as what we think. Yes, Gabby Douglas is a winner to the public by the gold medals she possesses, but she is more of a winner by being humble enough to not be full of pride and instead giving God thanks.
